Cairns

It was great to head to sunny Far North Queensland. I enjoyed time catching up with family in the tablelands and the timing worked out well to complete a 6.4m high mural at Edge Hill. I’ve painted a couple murals for the owner since 2016 and its great to see the block of shops filled with trendy tenants.

The design took on several incarnations all touching on the reef to the rainforest to the savannah way. It was a challenging wall with numerous surfaces, windows, conduit, doors and downpipes to work with.

Winton

What a special and scenic location on beautiful KOA country, awesome staff and the opportunity to create a mural in the most productive fossil laboratory in the Southern Hemisphere. I have learnt so much and leave inspired by the passion of the tour guides & volunteers. The displays are amazing and I'm still comprehending painting within a few meters of real dinosaur bones being cleaned up in the lab. I enjoyed every moment at Australian Age of Dinosaurs just an epic experience all round.

Alpha

It was great to squeeze in a few workshops in Alpha recently. Very much looking forward to applying another mural soon so watch this space!

The Gap

I kept busy during school holidays with a mural at Hilder Road State School. The brief entailed a design that reflects the habitants of Fish Creek which runs through the school grounds. Recent regeneration work and plantings have made this a special place to learn and relax and it was fantastic to spot the animals I was painting nearby.

Coomera

Ive been keeping busy on the Gold Coast and making the most of the recent sunshine. This week I painted a bunch of Australian animals at the Coomera Lodge Hotel. Opening soon the hotel has undergone a complete transformation whilst retaining many of the original features and family friendly vibe.

Wellington Point

Last week I completed a commission based on a photograph taken on the same site in the 1060’s Allenby Road, Wellington Point.

Coomera

After relentless wet weather I was finally able to complete this mural at Highland Reserve State School in Upper Coomera. It was great to see students inspired by the painting process and thanks to staff and tuckshop volunteers for making me feel welcome.

Murwillumbah

Incase you weren’t aware Murwillumbah was devastated with floods recently. The Tweed Valley will take some time to recover with landslides, bridges, access, vehicles and houses washed away. Earlier this year I was contacted by a local flood affected business to assist with reopening. Flood number 2 then delayed plans…it really hasn’t stopped raining much since the start of summer !

I hope my small contribution assists with some momentum moving closer to an opening date for SFX and Gspot Skate.
